New embroidered gown cont.

Earlier last week, I have embroidered a beautiful panel on a white silk dupion . I intended to design yet another eye catching traditional heirloom christening gown. This link will take you to the close up photos of the steam pressed embroidery.

I have picked this lovely , very delicate embroidery for the baptismal gown's neckline. Since I will be adding a very reach guipure lace trimming I didn't want the embroidery to "overpower" the yoke. The photo below shows the shell of the gown joint together. The embroidered short sleeve and the guipure lace are placed gown .... just for the final "fitting" . I have placed the scalloped edge of the venice lace facing towards the baptismal gowns hemline.....

In this photo the scalloped edge is facing the opposite direction. I will decide tomorrow morning as to which way it will end up being stitched on.
