Do you like this sleeve embroidery ?

The crown of the sleeve has two straight rows stitched for the fabric gathering ... With the 3 mm narrow elastic threaded through the base of the short sleeve it adds a third dimension to the final look of it. Don't you agree ?

The shell of the new white silk dupion christening gown is ready. The front panel with all its stunning heirloom embroidery opens up so perfectly ! The very generous 240cm width of the gown covers my sewing machine table ! I have stopped the sewing machine right in the middle of the skirt. I just had to take a picture of it for you :)

The guipure lace , which is stitched right along the hemline of this traditional family keepsake , is exactly the same as the one I have used to emphasize the front panel from the rest of the christening gown's skirt. The only visible difference is the added daisy pattern right above the scrolls in the white lace trimming.

I think it matches perfectly and catches the lovely tiny daisy embroidery of the white silk.
