I was quite surprised to find these lovely guipure( venise) trimmings at my local Spotlight store ! Usually,when I pop in for the bits and pieces in between my visits to Birch , they shelves have NOTHING ! Basically their range consists of nylon laces . You won't find cotton or guipure trimmings! I think it is rather inconsiderate of Spotlight, but who are we to complain, right ?!
Well, anyway ... getting back to my purchase. I LOVE the designs and the quality of them. The wider scalloped lace will look stunning in a very girly design medium length christening dress. It has a perfect shade match with my new 50 meter roll of the white silk dupion ( extra soft weave).
However the first narrow white guipure lace on the left has to be my favourite. It is only about 15mm wide, but check out the detail in the pattern ! Isn't it just amazing !
