Handmade - Baby girl's silk baptism booties

On the left is a bootie already turned the right side up. The other shoe is in being worked on....
Once the soil of this christening bootie is stitched to the top body, this is what it looks like with all the raw edges





In order to hide all rough edges an extra soil piece of lining is stitched along the same stitching seam, leaving a 5 cm opening along the straight length of the shoe . I will use the opening to turn the shoe inside out. All of the raw edges will be hidden under the lining of the christening bootie.


Few pins keep the lining in , for the final seam to be hand stitched in place.
