Matching handsmocked christening gown - jacket restoration cnt.

And we seem to have one photo out of order ! I am giving up ! I have placed them in the order they meant to appear - does anyone else have issues of uploading their work ? Should I be doing them one at a time ? Please HELP :)

To match the handsmocked panels on the refreshed christening jacket the parents chose a matching pattern in this handsmocked off white silk panel. I will be threading a 3 mm off white double sided satin ribbon.

All the pieces are prepared for the next stage.

Once the skirt shell and the chest are stitched together right around the chest - I use the bound seam to stop your baby getting any form of skin irritation which might be caused by the rough seam edges.

Close up of the front panel - just before the joining the top and bottom in this matching christening gown.

WOW!!! A gorgeous family item brought back to life for future generations. It is wonderful to see someone who cares so much about their work. I am sure the outfit will be divine as all your items are and look forward to seeing pics of him in the finished product(s). ☺
