Making of an elegant christening dress


All the christening gowns that I hand make are 200cm or 250cm wide. The silk dupion gathers up nicely,because it is a very soft natural fabric. If I can suggest something here.... should you ever consider stitching a silk garment please make sure you zig-zag all edges before handling it. Also, I press all the pieces once they are cut and than again each of the seams as I work on the baptismal gowns or baptismal rompers.
