Unique Christening Gowns - making of heirloom gown 2

This lace is so soft ! It tends to stretch while sewing .... I have stitched it both right sides facing each other ..... making sure I wasn't pulling it too much ....
Than, I have turned it right side up and top stitched it...this way it will stay nice and flat
I always stitch two rows for gathering, about 4 mm apart. It makes it nice and easy to form the gathering later. One row tends to twist and if the cotton is pulled too rough , it is broken very easily ..
As you can see the bottom of the gown is ready ....
Now , lets start on the yoke. Once again small incisions along the neckline seam.... More tomorrow ... Dana
