The skirt is pleated right across the top....
Once the joke and the skirt are stitched together the satin ribbon can be stitched across the top edges to keep it from curling up.
It looks so sweet , doesn't it ? It is not finished yet, but I am in love with this delicate christening dress. It is only 53cm long from shoulder to the hem. It will make a great christening gown for a little princess.
