Unisex Christening gown - special order p 5

Once the silk sleeve seams are overlocked I place a couple of small darts on either side of the shoulder seam. I makes it a much easier to carefully sew them into the arm hole opening.Next, the arm seams are finished off with bound seams. They prevent baby's skin irritation.

I just stumbled across your site. I'm considering sewing my new granddaughter's christening gown from my wedding gown, but would like a design that is unisex. Thank you for such beautiful photos. If only I were in Australia! Your sewing is outstanding.
