Heirloom Christening Gown - pt 4

As you can see from the photos ,this baby girl - heirloom christening gown is starting to take proper shape. I have weaved the satin ribbon through the loops in the guipure - venice lace down the gown's yoke. Six small pleats across the front complete this traditional, heirloom christening gown style .
Did you ever her about members of the same family being christened in one christening gown ? Would you like to start a new tradition ? The heirloom christening gowns are a fantastic keepsake for future generations ! You can embroider each child's name and baptism date on the lining, leaving a personal message for each new generation to come.
During the baby Expo, I had a pleasure to chat with a lady, whose 67 year old christening gown has been used for baptisms of her own children and grand children. How exciting is that ? The woman was so proud , that she managed to keep her gown in perfect condition.
